Michael Cornyn (Dunboyne AC) and Ger Cremin (An Riocht AC) represented Ireland at the Master’s Championships in New York during St Patricks Weekend. Competing in the iconic Armory building, it plays host to images of Irish Athletics legends such as Eamonn Coghlan, Marcus o Sullivan and Ray Flynn which spurred on the athletes in their endeavours as they represented the tri colour on a weekend where we celebrated all things Irish.
In the M60 400m Cornyn secured a silver medal after recovering from a hamstring injury at the European Masters Championships in Braga Portugal. The Dunboyne AC runner won his heat in a time of 63 seconds before going onto win his silver medal.
Cremin won a silver medal after his stunning M40 60m Hurdles performance running a time of 9.03 seconds. Recently Cremin won the 60m Hurdles at the British Indoor Championships in London.
