McGettigan Breaks Irish 3000 metres Steeplechase Record

Roisin McGettigan smashed her own Irish 3000 metres steeplechase record at Heusden, Belgium last night running 9.32.04 to finish 3rd in a world-class field. This performance was over 13 seconds better than the previous record of 9.45.60 set at the same venue two years ago.This performance puts Roisin in 7th place in Europe. Roisin travels back from Belgium this morning to compete in the final of the 800 metres at the Woodie's national championships
