MOONEY SECURES NEW U23 10,000M RECORD

Laura Mooney (Tullamore Harriers AC) has set a new Irish U23 10,000m of 33.23.95 while competing for Providence at the Penn Relays (April 28th). Mooney, who represented Ireland at the U20 European Championships in Tallinn last year, finished second in the race to claim a superb personal best, taking over the Irish U23 record of 33.36.36 which had been held by Sarah Collins since 2014.

Also in action at the Penn Relays was Moycarkey Coolcroo’s Sean Mockler who secured a brilliant PB of 68.68m in the Hammer (11th on all-time irish list). The throw earned second place for Mockler in a new Indiana College record for the freshman.
