The Irish Mountain Running Association is looking for new senior and junior athletic talent to run for Ireland in the European and World Trophy races in July (uphill) and September (up and down). With this in mind, they are holding three introductory trail races on the 7th April (Crone Wood/Glencree Wicklow), 15th April (Kilsheelan/Waterford) and 21st April (Round Mountain/Dundalk). These races are short and generally on good quality forest paths. They will also be good hill-work training for athletes getting ready for a season on the track. There are money prizes for both individuals and teams – see the IMRA website for more details
