Kalyn Sheehan, Ferrybank was the real star of the Munster Juvenile championships in Castleisland last Sunday qualifying for the world junior championships in Beijing next August with a winning time of 60.17 for the 400 metres hurdles. Kalyn born 20th November '89 joins her teammate Kelly Proper ( long jump ) as qualifers for these prestigious world championships. Next best performance in Castleisland came from another Ferrybank athlete Niamh Whelan who won the 100 metres and 300 metres having won the Tailteann Games on the Saturday. On the boys' side Niall Counihan had a good win in the triple jump with 13.47 metres
