Hamish Adams, Athletics Ireland CEO

The National Athletics Awards play an important role in thanking the people within the Athletics Community for their outstanding achievements and contributions to our sport.  We should all be immensely proud of all the achievements athletics has made in 2021. It has been a difficult but exciting year for Irish Athletics. 2022 offers our athletes more competitive opportunities, our coaches, and officials more development opportunities and as an organisation we are continuing our hard work in bringing our strategic plan to fruition.”

John Cronin, Athletics Ireland President

On behalf of the Board of Athletics Ireland, I would like to extend sincerest thanks to each member of the athletics community, our Athletes, Coaches, Clubs, Educational Institutes, Officials, Volunteers and Staff.  You each play an integral role in achieving the success we celebrate on nights such as the National Athletics Awards.

Liz Rowen, Marketing Director at Irish Life Health

Irish Life Health and Athletics Ireland have a shared vision of inspiring the nation to be active and healthy and our long-standing partnership has been really successful.  The National Athletic Awards are fantastic opportunity to support and honour our Irish Athletes on their achievements throughout 2021 despite challenges facing them.  I’d like to congratulate each of the Award winners and their families, the coaches, officials and volunteers on their achievements and wish you continued success in 2022.”

Athletics Ireland would like to thank everyone within the athletics community who has done so much to support and promote our sport this year. A special mention must go to all of our volunteers, coaches, athletes, and officials who have shown true resilience in meeting the challenges of COVID-19 head on.
