As the build up for the European Indoor championships in Birmingham on the first weekend of March continues, David Gillick scorched the track in Dusseldorf for a brilliant victory. His winning time of 45.91 isa world leader over the distance, a new Irish indoor record - bettering Paul McKee's 2003 45.99 record a smashing new PB for him indoors And his time puts him within striking distance of Paul McKee's outdoor Irish record of 45.58 set in 2002.
