Darragh McElhinney (UCD AC) has broken the Irish 3,000m (U23) record at the World Indoor Tour event in Metz, France. The UCD athlete took 5 seconds off his PB to cross the finish line in 7.45.91 this evening.

The time moves the Cork athlete up to 5th on Irish all-time list and secures the World qualifying standard.
