Eric Favors sets National Shot Put Record

Eric Favors (Raheny Shamrock) has broken the 30 year old National Outdoor Shot Put record with a throw of 20.07m while competing at the Puerto Rico International Athletics Classic overnight. 

Favors now holds both the National Indoor and Outdoor Shot Put Records, having set the National Indoor Shot Put Record in January this year at 19.84m. 

Olympian Paul Quirke (Crusaders AC) set the record at 20.04m in July 1992 while competing in New York.
