MCCANN BREAKS 1000M RECORD

Luke McCann (UCD AC) has smashed the National 1,000m record with a time of 2:16.40 while competing at the Monaco Diamond League this evening. McCann came seventh in the race ahead of his appearance in the 1500m at the European Championships in Munich next week..

In February this year, McCann set the national 1,000m of 2:17.40 (i) while competing in the US.
