NADIA POWER STORMS TO NEW 800M NATIONAL RECORD

Nadia Power has smashed her own National 800m record with a stunning performance at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Event in Torun this evening. Power held onto an explosive early pace set by eventual winner Habitam Alemu and perfectly judged the pace to come home in 3rd place in 2:00:98, beating her own 800m record of 2:02:44 which was clocked in Vienna back on January 30th 2021.

It completes an outstanding recent run of performances which has seen her battling for podium positions every time she has taken to the track. Attention will now turn to Torun for the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships, which will be held in the Polish city from 5-7 March.
