O'Rourke Breaks Irish Record Again

Derval O'Rourke made a significant advance on her Irish record for the 100 metres hurdles tonight finishing 3rd in the Helsinki Grand Prix running 12.85 ( +0.6 ) . The previous record of 12.92 was achieved last month in Lausanne .This latest performance pushes Derval into 6th place in the European rankings and with the championships fast approaching will provide a great confidence boost. Derval in her role as a member of the 4x 100 metres relay squad for Gothenburg will be in Santry at the Dublin International on Saturday competing in a special 4x100 relay.
