AAI announce Paddy Fay as Assistant Team Manager for the Senior Track and Field Team. Paddy Fay pictured with Derval O' RourkePaddy will work with Patsy Mc Gonagle in preparing the senior team for the forthcoming European Championships in August. This will be Ireland's largest ever team at an International Championships. There are nearly 30 athletes qualified to date and there will be more qualifers in the coming weeks leading up to the National Championships on 22/23 July. Paddy is vastly experienced at international level and has worked with many of Irelands senior athletes in recent years. He has been head coach at European and World Indoor Championships and was the National Coach for Sprints. He has been at the forefront of the emergence of Irish Sprinters and has witnessed the medals of David Gillick, Derval O Rourke and the 4x400m relay teams as evidence of this breakthrough.
