Lizzie Lee claimed a personal best of 33:04.66 at the European 10,000m Cup at the Birmingham University Track on Saturday June 5th .  The Leevale AC athlete who was making her first international appearance since the 2018 marathon finished in 17th place in a race won by Eilish McColgan in a time of 31:19:21.

Hiko Tonosa was in action on his international debut for Ireland, placing 12th in the men's race. A year after securing Irish citizenship, Hiko Tonosa posted a time of 28:13.10 in an Irish vest to go 11th on the all-time list. The race saw eight of the top 10 post personal bests, with Morhad Amdouni of France coming home in first place in 27:23.39.

In the men’s international B race, Michael Power ran 30:11.77 to place 23rd.

Meanwhile in Hungary, Brian Fay of Raheny Shamrock claimed a 4 second PB in the 3000m steeplechase of 8:29.75. The times ranks as the fastest by an Irishman since 1985 and strengthens his place in 4th on the Irish all-time list.
