Top speakers lined up for second ECN meeting
Athletics Ireland is pleased to announce the details for the second meeting of the Endurance Coaches Network (ECN) on Sunday 24th April at Athlone IT.
The theme for this event will be "Coaching Shapes People And Performance." The event program will focus on giving coaches’ practical information that they can take away and use to help improve their own coaching practice and will be delivered through plenary presentations and breakout sessions. There will be time for question and answers at all sessions also as well as the new addition of the panel discussion to round out the day.
If you are a club coach, development coach or a performance coach then this event has something to offer you. The (ECN) will bring the coaching community together to gain and share knowledge and more importantly to network with each other. It will be hosted once again in the excellent surroundings of Athlone IT and run from 9am-5.45pm. There is an exciting group of speakers including Mick Woods, Liam Moggan, Niamh and Noel Richardson, Laura Kerr, Mark Kirk and Colin Griffin.

Steve Macklin, Athletics Ireland Coach Education Lead for Endurance said:
"Following a very successful first event held in January we have put together an exciting 2nd event which will again bring all our endurance coaches together to learn, share and network. I would like to thank the coaches for their feedback after the first event as this helped shape the 2nd event and make some improvements. We once again have a very high calibre of speaker delivering at this event passing on their knowledge and experiences. This is an opportunity for all coaches to learn or refresh on current coaching methods or see what other coaches are doing and more importantly to network with each other. We have also added the ‘Wall of Vulnerability’ which will give coaches an insight into the challenges faced by some of our leading coaches throughout their careers. It promises to be an exciting day.”
Coaches can now register at the online link below for the low cost of €30. Registration for this event will close on Friday 8th April at midnight (or when the registration limit is reached) and places are limited to 140 coaches only. We advise all coaches to register quickly as we expect the event to sell out fast and a waiting list will apply after this time.
Many coaches will be staying the night before the event at the Creggan Court Hotel in Athlone HERE located next to the college and this may provide coaches with a further opportunity to network with each other.
