Runners ready to ‘Rock’ at national half

The national half marathon championships take place once more alongside the Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon in Dublin on Sunday (August 11).

Some of the leading entries include Mick Clohisey (Raheny Shamrock), Hugh Armstrong (Ballina) and Sean Hehir (Rathfarnham WSAF).

North Belfast Harriers will be looking for a strong showing in the men’s team competition led by Conan McCaughey – the Belfast club having been performing well in the national championships on the road all summer.

Florence Curley (Donore Harriers) and Angela McCann (Clonmel) are two of the leading F45 runners and will be looking to lead strong showings for their clubs and individually. Don’t discount them from podium positions in the senior women’s race.
