Sarah Lavin (Emerald AC) has broken Phil Healy's national 100m record with a stunning 11.27 NR in Switzerland this evening.

The Limerick sprinter finished second to Italy’s Zaynab Dosso who crossed in 11.15.

Lavin now holds both the national 100m and 100m hurdles records following on from her superb 12.62 at the World Championships in Budapest which broke Derval O'Rourke’s long-standing national hurdles record.

The Emerald AC athlete will be back in the blocks later this evening for the 100m hurdles (8.05pm).
