Bronze for women's team at World University cross country championships Fionnuala Britton put the memory of a sub-par effort in the World Cross Country championships well and truly behind her when she won the silver medal at the world University cross country championships in France - Haute Normandie - Rouen. 
Fionnuala Britton, Maria McCambridge, Deirdre Byrne and Linda Byrne at the Woodie's DIY inter club championships in Belfast There was a terrific battle up front with Faye Fullerton from Great Britain winning the title by just three seconds from Fionnuala who was in turn three seconds ahead of Ikram Zougiali from Morocco. Linda Byrne was also in superb form, running out of her skin to finish eight. And with Ciara Durkin finishing in 23rd the Irish team combined to win bronze medals just three points off Australia in second, with winners Great Britain on 20 points.
