Tailteann Games preview

The Irish Life Health Tailteann Games kick off a busy weekend in Santry with the four provinces battling for overall glory in Morton Stadium (June 22nd).

It promises to be a swift an exciting programme with only age group for girls and boys.

The 800m races always deliver exciting races with Ruby Steuven and Aaron Shorten aiming to lead the line for Leinster.

Orla Coffey will be one to watch for Munster in the girls’ pole vault while Joseph Haynes is one of Ulster’s leading lights in the boys’ 1500m steeplechase.

The event is steeped in history and it should deliver another excellent day of competition with the weather also looking favourable. Leinster look like overall favourites.
