Great competition in store at Morton

The historical Irish Life Health Tailteann Interprovincial Games will provide another excellent spectacle of athletics in Morton Stadium tomorrow (June 23).

The four provinces will compete against each other for glory and athletes will also be vying for places on the SIAB Schools’ International.

Connacht will look to the likes of Nelvin Appiah, 200m and high jump and Cian McPhillips, 1500m (both Moyne CS Longford) and Emma Moore, 800m (Presentation Athenry) for strong performances.

Leinster will be favourites but Ulster and Munster are always strong and will be looking to come out on top in the team standings.

There will be high-quality competition on the track and the field with weather conditions expected to be favourable to boot.
