The historical 123.ie Tailteann Interprovincial Games will provide another excellent spectacle of athletics in SETU Carlow tomorrow (June 20).
The four provinces will compete against each other for glory and athletes will also be vying for places on the SIAB Schools’ International team which takes place in Belfast next month.
This weekend’s showdown follows a hugely entertaining All Ireland Schools’ Championships which saw a host of impressive individual performances. A number of the top Intermediate champions will be vying for victory.
Last year Leinster won the Boys’ Team title and Munster claimed the Girls’ Team title.
There will be high-quality competition on the track and in the field. The field action gets underway at 10am, with the 400m Hurdles starting on track at 1pm. Relays will wrap up the day’s action before the trophy presentations and closing ceremony.
