The Irish team has been announced for the World Race Walking Cup in La Coruna, Spain on May 12th & 13th. The team includes Colin Griffin who fresh after his acquisition of the World ‘B’ standard in the Czech Republic a few weeks ago, will be looking for an excellent performance. Jamie Costin looks forward to continuing his return to form after his horrific accident in Athens. Jamie has shown a steady return to form in the last few months and will be looking for further progress in La Coruna.On the women’s side, Ann Loughnane has begun her senior career in style by winning her first 20K of the year in the Isle of Man in 1:37.45 an Irish U23 record and European U23 standard. Ann will be looking forward to building on this performance in La Coruna. Her team mate, Laura Reynolds will compete in the Junior Race. Laura competed in the World Youth Championships in Marrakesh finishing an excellent 16th. Michael Doyle will represent Ireland in the junior men’s race.
