Fiona Everard (Bandon AC) has been added to the Irish team for the European Athletics Championships next week following a further update of the ‘Road to Birmingham.’ Everard will compete in the Women’s 10,000m final on Friday August 14th alongside teammate Niamh Allen (Leevale AC).
Lauren Roy (Fast Twitch AC) has now also been selected to compete in the Women’s 100m following the ‘Road to Birmingham’ update. The Ballymena sprinter will also be in action in the Women’s 200m and 4x100m relay.
Unfortunately Rachel McCann (North Down AC) has been forced to withdraw from the Women’s 400m and 4x400m relay due to injury.
