This great addition to the road racing calendar in Galway is being organised as a fundraiser for under-age athletics in County Galway and has the full support of the Galway County Board of the AAI and the Connemara International Marathon. Thanks to event sponsorship from the Connemara Gateway Hotel and TG4 we can now say with confidence that 100% of the entry fee for each runner in this event will go directly to supporting Juvenile Athletics in County Galway. Please show your support for the future stars of Irish Athletics by supporting this event. BreakfastRunLogo.jpg The route for this event comprises the final 4.2 miles of the Connemara Marathon route up and along the stunning Maam Valley and includes the hill known to thousands of Connemara Marathoners as the ‘Hell of the West’. If there’s a more beautiful and challenging section of road anywhere in the country we don’t know where it could be. Each runner or walker who takes on the challenge of completing this event will be rewarded with a beautiful breakfast in the Connemara Gateway Hotel. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning this summer. The race is scheduled to start at 10:00am and so participants should be back into Galway before lunchtime. Online entries are now open at www.RunIreland.Com and cost Euro 35.00. Your entry fee includes bus transport to and from the race route, and a rewarding breakfast in the superb Connemara Gateway Hotel afterwards.
