TOP 25 FINISH FOR BOYCE AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Olympian Brendan Boyce (Finn Valley AC) has secured a Top 25 Finish in the men’s 35KM Race Walk at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon this afternoon. Boyce crossed the line in 25th place, a season best performance of 2:33.31, just shy of his PB 2:32.49. 

Team Ireland will be back in action this evening on the final day of the World Athletics Championships when World Indoor Championship Finalist and Olympian Sarah Lavin takes to the 100mH semi-finals. Lavin takes to the final heat of three in the women’s 100mH at 1.10am (Monday 25th July). The first two from each heat plus the two fastest times will qualify for the final which follows shortly at 3:00am (Monday 25th July).
