Top track action in store
The Belfast International and Leevale Open Sports head the top domestic track action tomorrow (May 7th) where David Gillick is set to compete over 400m at the Mary Peters Track.
Gillick (DSD) continues his comeback at the Belfast International having run 48.05 seconds in Pavia, Italy last week. The Dubliner will take on the likes of Timmy Crowe (Clonliffe Harriers) and Andrew Mellon (North Down).

The middle distance races are being supported and laid on with the Irish Milers Club and there promises to be some exciting races in store with Ciara Mageean (UCD) one of the headline athletes. For full information on the IMC events click HERE.
Mageean will tackle the 3,000m to get her outdoor season underway. John Travers (Donore Harriers) heads the men’s entrants and will be aiming for a sub 8 clocking.
Laura Crowe (An Riocht) will be looking to make an impression in the women’s 800m while European Youth Olympic 1500m champion Kevin McGrath (Bohermeen) will be aiming to show his elder rivals a clean pair of heels in the men’s event.
Olympic 800m qualifier Ciara Everard (UCD) will tackle the women’s 1500m with Rory Chesser (Ennis Track) looking to hold off the likes of
Rory Chesser (Ennis Track), James O’Hare (Annadale Striders), William Maunsell (Clonmel) and Brandon Hargreaves (DSD) are among the top men’s 1500m entrants.
The women’s 400m hurdles will see Christine McMahon (Ballymena & Antrim) face Jessie Barr (Ferrybank) while the Kelly brothers, John and James, of Finn Valley are in the shot put. Gerard O’Donnell (Carrick on Shannon) will look to continue his early season form in the 110m hurdles.
