Silver for Kelly Proper at UK championships Kelly Proper managed just one legal jump in the long jump final at the UK championships in Sheffield yesterday. But it was a good one though and earned the silver medal for her. And her 6.31m jump was just 1cm short of her Irish record set last weekend in Cardiff. Joe Warne had a good race to finish second in the 800m and qualify for today's final. In the US Ciaran O'Lionaird, just out of junior ranks, demolished his best for the 3,000m with a time of 8:04.05 at an indoor meet in Notre Dame.
