At the end of WIS Week our inaugural Women in Sport Leadership course concluded in a face-to-face workshop held in the sports campus, Dublin.
14 women representing 14 different clubs were selected through a strong application process. The blended course was delivered over 5 week on-line sessions and an in-person workshop concluded the programme.
The course included leadership and personal development skills as well as guest speakers Joanne Murphy (Tri Sport Talking and MC), Rachel Ormrod (Director of Participation), Irene Clark (Menopause Coach and Mentor), Brid Golden (Athletics Ireland Board Member).
Speaking about the course Alexandria Conway said ‘it was a great way of meeting likeminded women, sharing strengths and vulnerabilities and addressing specific challenges in our roles’.
This internationally recognised leadership course was delivered by Sarah O’Shea and Lisa Clancy.
Denise Kelly reflected ‘it was one of the best courses I have ever been on as it is a stepping stone to help me and my club’.
A huge well done to all 14 women who completed the 5 week programme.
