World Athletics are celebrating Kids Athletics day on the 7th of May. The vision behind Kids' Athletics is the belief that every child is born to move, to play, to explore. No matter where they are in the world, no matter their individual circumstances, it’s their fundamental right to have access to sport.
World Athletics are also running a competition for member federations with a prize of $10,000 for federations with the most participation per population. The competition will run from 7th to 20th May and will be measured by participation, social media engagement (using #kidsathleticsday & tagging @worldathletics), and innovation.
