Eleven athletes will compete at the upcoming World Championships which will take place in London from August 4th - 13th.
Barr, English, Mageean and Gregan will join the marathoners and 50km walkers which were announced at the end of April.
Barr competed the at the Irish Life Health National Championships on Sunday last where he won a seventh consecutive 400m hurdles title running an impressive time of 49.79, finishing just ahead of his training partner Paul Byrne. He says “It felt very good out there, it felt very good in training the last week – it’s coming together again and with these two races back to back it will put my stride pattern back in place”.
Mark English who comfortably won his 800m final in Santry, says 'he will spend the upcoming days finetuning and getting some speed back into the legs for the World’s in August'.
Brian Gregan of Clonliffe Harriers A.C. won the Men’s 400m in 45.75 on Sunday showing that he’s back in good form from his injuries last season and gearing up for the World Champs, winning the 400m final in a time of 45:74.
