This session is aimed at those involved in planning, developing, or submitting grant applications — particularly for the Community Sports Facilities Fund (formerly the Sports Capital Programme). As part of Athletics Ireland’s ongoing commitment to strengthening club infrastructure across the country, this webinar will help clubs become fully grant-ready and confident in delivering facility development projects that support long-term athlete and club growth.

The webinar will be led by Patricia Keenan, Director of Funding at 2into3, one of Ireland’s leading experts in capital sports funding. Patricia has supported hundreds of clubs, including many Athletics Ireland clubs, to refine their project ideas, develop strong business cases, and prepare high-quality, competitive applications.

  • What qualifies for funding under the Community Sports Facilities Fund
    • Eligibility criteria for Athletics Ireland clubs
    • How to prepare a strong, strategic project proposal
    • Understanding the application process, requirements, and scoring system
    • How to maximise your application score
    • Typical pitfalls for clubs and how to avoid them
    • Examples of successful athletics projects from recent funding rounds
