Double World Para Athletics Champion Orla Comerford has been named joint Irish Times Sportswoman of the month for September.
The 28-year-old claimed gold in both the T13 100m and 200m at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi last month.
The Raheny Shamrock athlete won her first-ever World Championship medal in the T13 100m, where she dominated from the gun.

Comerford then held off defending champion Rayane Soares da Silva from Brazil in the 200m to take her second gold of the championship.
The Dublin native is inching closer to the world record in the 100m; she is now just 0.11 seconds off the 11.76 mark.
The award is shared with Aoife O’Rourke, who won gold in the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.
In what was a fantastic month of Irish sport, it was a difficult task for the judging panel to choose, with the likes of Róisín Ní Riain
Comerford is a worthy winner, and it’s positive to see her achievement highlighted as among the best of the month.
Kate O’Connor and Sarah Healy were awarded the news publications’ sportswomen of the month for March when they both claimed medals in the indoor season.
