This year, the ALG5K is thrilled to welcome two-time European indoor 400m champion and Olympian David Gillick as its ambassador. A passionate advocate for health and fitness, David will inspire participants to embrace the benefits of physical activity and teamwork.

Beginners Training Plan

Run your first ALG5K. This plan is geared towards the beginner who has started running recently and now wants to take it up a level and get involved in a 5k run or race.

Intermediate Training Plan

Run the ALG5K in less than 25 minutes. This plan is for someone who runs 5k regularly but hopes to improve their time to less than 25 minutes. The focus is to develop speed endurance. To complete this training plan, you need a moderate level fitness.

Advanced Training Plan

Run the ALG5K in less than 18 minutes. This plan is for a runner trying to run 5k in less than 18 minutes. The focus is on speed endurance. To complete this training plan, you need advanced fitness experience.

The A&L Goodbody 5K Corporate Team Challenge (formerly GT5K) comes to Dublin on September 16th 2025 and promises to be bigger and better than ever!

The aim of the ‘ALG5K’ is to help Irish workforces stay active and healthy while also enjoying some social team building at a fun, safe, and supportive event.

This year we are delighted to announce that you can once again register as part of a team, or as an individual.

Docklands, Dublin, Sept 16th 2025.

The event will start at 7.45pm sharp.

Anyone over 18 years of age can register for the ALG5K.

ALG5K 2025 invites corporate teams, family teams, sports club teams or the individual runner to take part and compete. Teams are made up of 4 runners, with team categories for male, female and mixed. 

Yes, you can enter as an individual in any of the above races. Please note entries made as an individual will not count towards team prizes.

For bulk team entries of 4 or more teams please email roadraces@athleticsireland.ie. You will be sent a short bulk entry form to fill out. 

Entry is €150 per team (+ booking fee) which includes your t-shirts and virtual goodie bag. We also have an Early Bird Rate of €100 which will be available until May 18th.

Entry for an individual is €40 which includes the BRAND NEW AL5K Race T-Shirt.

Yes, we will have prizes for the first 3 teams in each category: Male, Female and Mixed. We will also have spot prizes available during race week. 

Unfortunately, there are no refunds available once you have entered.

The proceeds from the registration fee will be split between the event charity partner Depaul Ireland, and Athletics Ireland’s youth athletics programmes. 

All participants will receive the BRAND NEW ALG5K T-shirt! 

You can pick up your T-shirt along with your race number at our City Centre collection point on September 15th and 16th.

Please be aware that both the T-shirts and race numbers for your entire team must be collected simultaneously. One team member can collect them for your whole team. The collection point will be emailed to all participants in the week leading up to the ALG5K. 

Yes, we will have goodies at the finish!

You can pick up your race number along with your T-shirt at our City Centre collection point on September 15th and 16th. An information booklet will be emailed to all participants closer to the event.

You will not be required to submit your time for the live event as this will take place automatically when you cross the finish line at the live event. A live leaderboard will be available on the day. A link will be included in your participant booklet which will be emailed to you race week as well as being posted on social media. 

Information will be included in your participant booklet. We encourage you to use public transport where possible. 

Over the event week, there will be a live leaderboard available to view. Details of where to find this will be emailed to you as well as being available on the event social media channels throughout the event week.

Team results will be calculated by adding together the 4 team member times. Team results will be under three categories, All Male, All Female and Mixed. 

You can wear your club vest while running if you wish, but club membership is not required for this event. We encourage you to wear your ALG5K t-shirt.
