IAU World 24-Hour Championships 2023 Selections

The IAU World 24-Hour Championships 2023 will take place in Chinese Taipei on 01st -02nd December. Ireland will be represented in the Men’s race by the Irish 24hr National Record holder Ed McGroarty of Lifford Strabane AC with a personal best distance of 258.820km. 

Anne Jennings (Dublin Bay Running Club), who was the top finisher in the 24hr European Championships 2022 with a best distance of 220.545Km, will represent Ireland in the women’s race. 

Both athletes will also be competing in the World Masters Athletics 24hr Championships.  The addition of the Masters Race is part of a strategy to develop Ultra Running globally.
