This is a qualification for people interested in general coaching work with children between the ages of 10 to 14 Level 1 coaches are focused on developing the child’s fundamental physical skills in a fun environment. Image 2Content Level 1 Coaching Course content includes:
  • Developing the techniques of running, jumping and throwing
  • Understanding the effects of puberty
  • Planning and conducting a training session incorporating run, jump, and throw
  • Developing a sense of fairplay, discipline, confidence, concentration
  • Developing the sport specific running,jumping and throwing skills fundamental
Duration: 2 weekends (25 hours) Entry Requirements Level 1 is open to those who have completed an Athletics Leader course or an Introductory level course. Assessment/ Qualification: The Level 1 Coaching badge is awarded on the basis of
  • Sample training session
  • Observed Practice
  • Oral assessment
