Athletics Ireland is proud to announce the launch of a new E-Learning Platform, developed in collaboration with World Athletics.
This exciting initiative marks a significant step forward in how Athletics Ireland supports and develops the athletics community nationwide. The platform will act as a central hub for learning and development, bringing together a wide range of online courses, educational resources, and webinars in one easily accessible space.
Designed to support every member of the athletics community, the platform allows users to create a free personal profile and gain access to a comprehensive library of materials developed by Athletics Ireland and World Athletics.
Whether you are a coach, athlete, club leader, official, volunteer, parent, or administrator, the platform provides valuable learning opportunities tailored to each role within the sport.
Key Areas of Learning
The E-Learning Platform will offer education and development opportunities across several key areas, including:
Coaching Education
Athlete Development
Club Development
Officials Education
Women in Sport
Sports Inclusion & Disability
Through this platform, Athletics Ireland aims to make learning more accessible, flexible, and inclusive, ensuring that everyone involved in athletics has the opportunity to grow, upskill, and contribute to the continued success of the sport.
Supporting Coaches and the Wider Athletics Community
Commenting on the launch, Athletics Ireland Coach Education Manager Conor Wilson said:
“The introduction of this E-Learning Platform is a major step forward for athletics in Ireland. It provides a centralised, accessible hub where all members can continue their development at a time and pace that suits them. For our coaches in particular, this will be an invaluable resource.
Continuous learning is essential in coaching, and having direct access to high-quality courses, expert-led webinars, and up-to-date resources through one platform will significantly enhance the support we can offer.
I am delighted that we can now offer this to our members and would like to thank World Athletics – in particular Stephanie Eagle – for working with us on developing this fantastic new initiative.
This platform will strengthen the connection between learning and practice, helping coaches at every level to develop their knowledge, build confidence, and ultimately create better experiences for athletes across the country. It represents our commitment to raising standards and ensuring that athletics in Ireland continues to grow in an inclusive, informed, and progressive way.”

Athletics Ireland encourages all members to register, explore the resources available, and take full advantage of this new hub for athletics education and development.
