3-9th March- What is Coming Up from Athletics Ireland

 

This year Athletics Ireland is using Women in Sport week to celebrate the work we do to support women and girls of all ages. Athletics is a life-long sport and we want to show how we aim to keep women involved for as long as they want to be.

 

Monday– Is all about Periods! Hear from some of our athletes about what products they use, how they manage their periods and how they feel when they train.

Tuesday– Here comes the Girls Squad. Showcasing our Teenage Girls Secondary Schools Programme on our social media platforms.

Wednesday- Athletics Ireland officially launch our REDs (Relative Energy Deficiency) pathway for male and female athletes at all levels from grassroots to High Performance

Thursday- Long Term Athlete Development. Look at our new Long Term Athlete development campaign with new Instagram stories, workshops and information for both coaches and athletes.

 

Friday- The Inaugural Women’s Officer Club Network will be launched with a zoom session for all new Women’s Officers. Led by WIS Lead Anna Grealish. This session is for all Women’s Officers in clubs and will be 7:30-8:15pm please pre-register HERE
