Athletics Ireland is proud to launch a brand-new resource designed to support young athletes making the transition from second, to third level education — introducing “A Guide to University Athletics Programmes in Ireland.”
Athlete development manager Grace Lynch said of the newest resource: ‘ The transition to third level education can be a daunting one , particularly in terms of balancing academic and sporting endeavours. It is important for each athlete to recognise their individual needs in order to achieve their own goals. My goal is to provide clarity and guidance to young athletes seeking to continue their development while pursuing higher education. At Athletics Ireland, we believe that the right university setting can be instrumental in an athlete’s progression. Whether your aim is to compete at an international level, develop your skills alongside your studies, or simply maintain your passion for the sport, this resource will help you make an informed decision about your future”.
