Club Children’s Officer course (Safeguarding 2) now open for booking


The Athletics Ireland Club Children's Officer course (Safeguarding 2) is now available for booking for all Children's Officers. This is the second level child safeguarding course from Sport Ireland that looks at;

  • the voice of the child & young person in athletics
  • how to communicate with young people
  • updated child safeguarding scenarios
  • the role of the Children’s Officer

This course is a requirement for all Children's Officers and Safeguarding 1 (Code of Ethics) must be completed previously. A certificate of attendance from the Sport Ireland will be issued to all participants. Four courses will be held in Enniscorthy, Dublin, Cork and Athlone in May with each course limited to 18 participants. The cost per person is €15.00.
