‘Sport for All’ Disability Supports Club Fund Now Open
Athletics Ireland are pleased to now open the application process for the ‘Sport for All’ Disability supports club fund and welcomes clubs to begin compiling their application for submission before the deadline on midnight Thursday 25th August.
The Scheme will be open to the affiliated clubs of Athletics Ireland recognised by Sport Ireland. The fund offers every club affiliated with Athletics Ireland an opportunity to provide inclusive programmes and supports for people with a disability.
The fund will support the initiation or enhancement of disability specific activities within grassroots sports clubs. Clubs will apply directly to Athletics Ireland for funding. Athletics Ireland will in turn submit a consolidated application on behalf of its club network to Sport Ireland.
Clubs can apply for funding of between €1,000 and €5,000 to support the following areas:
- Disability Supports Education & Training
- Disability Supports Programme Activation and Delivery
- Disability Supports Small Scale Equipment and Infrastructure.

PROCESS & TIMELINE
- The closing date for applications to Athletics Ireland will be midnight Thursday 25th August.
- Applications are to be submitted HERE
- Late applications cannot be accepted.
- Final decisions will need to consider the level of demand across the scheme and the €500k award granted to Athletics Ireland from Sport Ireland.
- Depending on the level of submissions, the outcome of those deliberations will be communicated to affiliated Clubs/bodies by December 2022.
- Subject to Board approval, the process of payment will begin thereafter.
