This weekend Olympian Brendan Boyce will represent Ireland at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Muscat, Oman. Experienced race walker Boyce will be looking to build on his strong performances from 2021 and early season form, this is a tough course to contend with especially under the intense middle eastern heat.

Brendan Boyce (Finn Valley AC) has had a busy start to 2022, competing at both the Irish Indoor Senior Championships 5K Walk where he came 2nd with a time of 21:05.24 and the Spanish Open 20K Walk where he came 12th in a time of 1:27.13.   2021 was an impressive season for Finn Valley star, coming 10th in the Tokyo Olympic Games 50KM Walk in August after coming 9th in the European Race-Walking Team Championships in the Czech Republic just months before in May 2021. This weekend he will be in action on Saturday against 85 athletes from 35 countries such as Spain’s Miguel Ángel Lopez.
