Euro Race Walks Team Champs Selections
Athletics Ireland have selected a strong team of six athletes to compete at the European Race Walking Team Championships, which will take place in Podebrady, Czech Republic, on Sunday May 21st.
A full complement of four Senior Men have been selected in the 20km Walk, with the experienced Brendan Boyce and David Kenny joined by the up-and-coming Mullingar duo of Oisin Lane and Matthew Glennon. With three to score, this squad will have one eye on the team standings.
Similarly, with two to score in U20 events, Jake O'Brien and Andrew Glennon will be looking to make an impact both individually and as a team.
This is a key event on the Race Walking calendar, before Walkers turn their attention to this summers major championships.
