Power Surge in Zagreb

POSTED:

Nadia Power continued her impressive form with a first place finish in the 800m at the Continental Tour Gold meeting in Zagreb this evening. The time of 2.02.08 ranks as the second fastest of her career and comes hot on the heels of the new Irish U23 800m record which she set in Rovereto, Italy last week (2:01.01).

Zagreb was also witness to a seasons best for Paul Robinson who was also in action at the Continental Tour Gold meeting this evening. A stacked 1500m event saw Robinson come home in 10th place (3.38.26) but he too will be delighted to run a seasons best on the back of his recent exertions in claiming the Irish 1500m title..

Thomas Barr had also set a seasons best earlier in the evening at the track meet in Switzerland. Barr clocked 50.00 in the 400mH and will be happy with the progress being made in what has been a truncated season for the Ferrybank A.C athlete
