14 Medals for Master Athletes at Europeans

Irish Master Athletes returned with a very creditable tally of 14 medals from the European Masters Indoor Champs which concluded in Torun, Poland over the weekend.

Medal Tally

• Ann Woodlock (W75) brought home double gold in the 1500m & 3000m
• Mick Traynor (M50) won the 5km CC and also won bronze in the 3,000m
• Denise Toner (W35) won gold over 800m
• Mary Barrett (W55) bagged double silver in the Shot Putt & High Jump
• Kathryn Casserly (35) - 1500m silver
• Anthony Martin (M55) – 400m silver
• Cathal McLaughlin (M45) – 1500m silver
• Pat Bonass (M70) - 5km CC bronze
• Geraldine Finegan (W45) - Javelin bronze
• Niamh Fitzgerald (W40) - 800m bronze
• Brian O’Domhnaill (M35) - 5km Road Walk bronze
