English Shines at Italian Meet

Mark English (UCD AC) has added another impressive win to his season tally with a first place finish in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. English finished in a time of 1:46.52 ahead of the USA's Harun Abda (1:46.88) and Elijah Greer (1:46.99). The field was full of young talented athlete's, Greer having come from an outstanding college season last year winning the USA college's indoor and outdoor 800m titles in 2013.

Mark will be continuing his road towards the European Championships in Zurich with the International Men's 800m race this weekend in Dublin at the Morton Games. This race will be a fanstastic homecoming for Mark who will be looking to build on his successes this season so far. It will be a tough race for the Donegal man with fierce competition coming from Abraham Kiplagat of Kenya and Jordy Williamz of Australia along with Irish international Paul Robinson and English's young UCD AC teammate Karl Griffin.
