GloHealth National Indoor League Is Back
The GloHealth National Indoor Club League is back after a successful running of the inaugural event in January 2014. Round one of the league takes place on the 11th of January and round two on the 31st of January with the final scheduled for the 7th of February. All three events will take place in AIT International Arena, Athlone.
Cork club Leevale AC dominated the competition last year winning both the men’s and women’s competition.
Competition Explained
This is a club based competition which will take place over three rounds. Events will be divided over the first two rounds with three track events and two to three field per day. The final round will cover all events. Teams will be male and female and clubs can enter two teams into each of these categories. The top six clubs, based on a scoring system will compete in the Final.
Athletes who may not have a sizeable enough club to compete in the Leagues will also be catered for with an opportunity to compete in individual events in the opening rounds and with the top 6 to 8 athletes overall (depending on event) being invited to compete on the final day of the Leagues.
Online Entry
Online entry is now available for the Indoor League via the entry option below; there is a €50 entry fee per club team with €5 entry per guest. A provisional timetable is also available below for round one of the league on the 11th of January.
