Irish Milers Dedicate Race to Ronnie Delany

Crusaders AC and the Irish Milers Club (IMC), present The GV Ryan Meet, Irishtown Stadium, Sat 14 June

Featuring the Ronnie Delany 1500m and the Noel Carroll 800m.

On Sat Afternoon 14 June, Crusaders AC in association with the Irish Milers Club (IMC) are hosting the GV Ryan Meet in Irishtown Stadium. All details including provisional timetable on www.irishmilersclub.com and www.crusadersac.org.

Events:

Middle Distance Events- Organised by the Irish Milers Club (IMC)

800m Men A, B, C and D standards.

The A race is the Noel Carroll 800m sponsored by Noel’s Club Civil Service Harriers. This race will feature two British Milers Club (BMC) athletes Joseph Maynard and Myles Edwards and will be paced to 1.48 standard. The D men’s race will be an Up and Comers 800m which will be open to athletes seeking to break the 2 minute barrier. We will put on more 800’s if necessary.

800m Women A and B.

The Women’s A 800m will also feature another young talented BMC athlete Alexandra Bell who ran a pb in Manchester recently of 2.05.

1500 Men A and B and Women’s 1500m.

The Men’s A race is the first running of the Ronnie Delany 1500m and sponsored by Ron’s Club Crusaders. Again this race will feature two very young and very talented BMC athletes Shaun Wyllie and Dan Studley who have both run 3.43 in recent weeks. The aim will be to beat Ron’s winning time of 3.41.20 which he ran to win the Olympics in 1956.

The Men’s B race will also be an Up and Comers race paced for athletes looking to break 4 minutes or indeed run low 4 minutes

3,000m Combined Men and Women:-  Athletes sub 9.45 minutes only.

Sprints - Organised by the Irish Sprinters Club : 100 men A and B, 100m Women, 200m Men and Women, 400m Men

Hurdles - Organised by the Irish Hurdlers Club :- 110h Men and 100m women.

Field Events - Shot and Long Jump event men and women
