Lifford AC Spring 5K Series Off To A Great Start

A great start was had for the Dalys XL Spring 3 Race Series. On a cold wet morning, over 300 runners, walkers and joggers took to the start line in St Johnston for the first of the 5k races.  This weekend, the Series rolls into the market town of Raphoe for what can be expected to be another exciting race.  Another huge crowd is anticipated, with everyone who took part in the St Johnston leg of the Series already pre registered for this Sundays race, as well as big numbers of new participants now registering to run in Raphoe.

The Spring 5K Series, organised by Lifford Athletic Club has proven itself to be a big draw, year on year attracting big numbers to its three races in St Johnston, Raphoe and Lifford.  Held across three different venues from which the club draws much of its membership and support, the Series provides ideal opportunities for many different people to kick start the New Year on a positive footing.  From the serious athlete looking to get in some early season races, to the recreational runner and walkers getting out, getting fit and having fun, there is something in this Series for everyone.  These event also provide an opportunity for local communities to engage with events on their doorstep and to come and join in and be part of the fun.

The Lifford club has endeavoured to build on the success of this Series each year, ensuring the best possible event experience for participants.  From accurately measured courses, to chip timing, low entry costs, prizes, after race refreshments and quality t shirts, the club continues to add quality and value year after year.

 All those who took part in St Johnston two weeks ago are automatically pre entered for this Sundays race in Raphoe – just turn up on Sunday morning to collect your number and chip.  

New entrants can register on line at liffordac.com until 8pm on Saturday, with registrations also taken on the morning of the race.  Registrations, number and chip collection will take place at Deele College Sports Hall from 8.30am to 9.45am with the race starting at 10.00am sharp.  After race refreshments and results will also take place in the hall after the race.
