WORLD ATHLETICS RULE CHANGES 2023

On 15 November the Technical Committee hosted a webinar for Technical Officials to introduce the rule changes and amendments to the World Athletics rules. All senior AAI competitions are run in accordance with WA rules.

Over 70 officials from across the country attended and there was lively and informative discussion. The webinar was facilitated by the Chair of Technical Committee, Jackie Mulhall, Ronan O’Hart, (Connacht Athletics) World Athletics Referee on return from his summer appoint in at the World Championships in Budapest, and Iain Shaw, (Galway Athletics) and National Technical Official (NTO).

To support the education and development of all officials – county, regional and national – a further webinar will take place in January with a focus on indoor competition.
